The #MeToo movement is still moving along and causing victims to come forward in various industries, including the judiciary. Just yesterday (May 24, 2018), the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court suspended a state court Judge Thomas Estes because of his secret affair with a court clinician, Tammy Cagle.  The plaintiff claims Judge Estes sexually harassed and coerced her into continuing the affair.  Judge Estes admitted that he had several encounters with Cagle in his chambers but argues he shouldn’t be fired for it. This case is a good reminder that a sexual harassment claim is still a hot topic, and the recent Supreme Court decisions on class actions and arbitration didn’t take the steam out of the #MeToo movement.
